Top 10 Greatest Indian Scientists and their Contributions

1. Homi Jehangir Bhabha - Bhabha is considered the father of Indian atom. He founded Bhabha Atomic Research Institute in Mumbai.

2. Vikram Sarabhai - After Bhabha, he became the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. He was the chief architect of the Equatorial Rocket Launch Center located in Thumba, the first officer of the Indian National Space Research National Committee.

3. Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar - He is known for his excellent work as a science fighter. He established scientific laboratories in the country.

4. Satish Dhawan - Satish Dhawan was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in the field of Science and Engineering in 1971. His efforts have been a director in the development of sound fast (supersonic) wind tunnel.

5. Jagdish Chandra Basu - He was the first scientific researcher of India, Jagadish Chandra Bose was given the title of "Knight" in 1917 and soon he was elected the Fellow of 'Royal Society London' for physical and biology. Plants have life in them.

6. Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman - C. V. Raman was an Indian physicist born in the former Madras province of India (hereinafter called Tamil Nadu). He invented the spectrum related Raman effect, for which India gave him the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1930 and the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 1954.

7. Birbal Sahni - Birbal Sahni was the Puravnspti scientist of international fame considered to be the best Paleo-Jiobotnist of India.

8. Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar - Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was an Indian American astrophysicist. The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded in 1983. According to Chandrashekhar's research the stars begin to lose weight by reaching almost 8 solar cells. By reaching a certain limit the stopping of the load falls. Chandrasekhar the same extent was addressed through his research. They named their research 'Chandrasekhar Limit'. For his 'Chandrasekhar Limit' he was awarded the world's prestigious Nobel Prize for this.

9. Har Gobind Khorana - He did the Gene Synthesis for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize.

10. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam - Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is better known as APJ Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. Political change from a career scientist, Kalam was born in Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering. 
He spent 40 years of his life as a scientist and science administrator, mainly involved in Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), India's civil space program and military missile development efforts.

They began to be known for their work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology, Missile Man of India. He made missiles such as fire and earth with indigenous technology, he was honored by Padma Bhushan in 1981 by the Indian government and Padma Vibhushan in 1990.
